Tomorrow marks a momentous occasion, an event that means spring really is here. Tomorrow, the koi that live in the lily pond between the Belle Isle Aquarium and the Conservatory will return to their idyllic summer home.

From 10 a.m. to noon., locals are invited to bring their own five pound bucket and aid in the transfer of the colorful fish from the aquarium basement to their summer home.

The aquarium will also be collecting donations. They’re hoping for cleaning products like trash bags, plastic spray bottles, light bulbs, rubber gloves, scrubbing bubbles, and toilet paper.
