As Taylor Swift took to the stage to an audience of 51,000 at Ford Field on Saturday night, firefighters battled an underground blaze that was spreading nearby.

As Motor City Muckraker reports, officials spotted the fire under three manholes at Randolph St. and E. Grand River Blvd., just south of the stadium. At least two manhole covers exploded, and several buildings lost electricity.

Firefighters left the scene around 11 p.m., just as the Taylor Swift concert ended.
