The 17th annual Allied Media Conference, set to take place June 18-21 in Detroit, is now accepting proposals for sessions, event organizers announced today.

“Last year we had over 400 session proposals and we are excited to receive even more this year,” says Morgan Willis, Director of the Allied Media Conference, in a statement. “During the session proposal process the conference begins to take shape and we see key themes and issues emerge. We are especially looking forward to session proposals that are accessible to people with varying levels of experience and ability; hands-on workshops in art, design, and technology; and content that engages youth.”

The conference typically includes film screenings, performances, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and more.

Organizers say 2000 people attended the conference last year. Anyone interested in learning about how to propose a session can find out more information here. An information session will be held March 1 a 6 p.m.; organizers say to follow the conference on Twitter and Facebook for updates on that.
