The Toledo Mud Hens are the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. June 1 marks the 50 year anniversary of the Beatles’ landmark album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
To celebrate, the Mud Hens will reportedly wear these “Sgt. Pepper’s”-themed jerseys during their June 16 game:
As to be expected, Twitter was merciless.
The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds benefiting local charities. Post-game entertainment includes a Beatles tribute band.
