Record nerds rejoice! You can now hear some of your favorite music on the world’s shittiest sounding format – that’s right, it’s a subscription service for exclusive, cool music released on friggin flexidiscs. This is the fourth year that the label Joyful Noise has offered a flexi series. Local heroes Protomartyr join a roster of alt-rock heroes including Lee Ranaldo, Oneida, Deerhoof, and Cloud Nothings. 


At $5 per month, it’s not super pricey to join. The VIP version, however, isn’t cheap. At $22 per month, you get a fancy, silkscreened box, plus a separate new release from the label each month.
