They’d originally been scheduled to play out in the ‘burbs opening for Robert Plant Tuesday, June 9. But Plant has fallen ill, and so the Pixies have decided to not cancel themselves and play a Detroit show instead, at Saint Andrews Hall. It is the same night as originally scheduled, Tuesday, June 9, at Saint Andrews Hall, and the show starts at 8 p.m. Some bands sound better in smaller venues, so this might be a better thing after all, for fans of the alt-rock act.

Please note: The press release we got one hour ago said that the show would be $25, but the link says $35. Um, inflation? Whatever it costs (plus fees, of course), you can buy tickets to the just-announced show here.
