Birmingham French pastry chef Matt Knio’s second Cannelle location opens on Feb. 1 in downtown Detroit’s Capitol Park.
Knio announced the opening on Cannelle’s Instagram page and with signage on the door at the new store, which is at 45 Grand River Ave. across from Lovers Only.
Knio has already established himself as one of the city’s best pastry chefs, and the shop will offer a range of macrons, cookies, eclairs, cakes, croissants, danish, bread, coffee, sandwiches, salads, and more.
The space will hold seating for about 25.
