Taco pop up Esto’s Garage is planning a brick and mortar location near Sister Pie in the West Village.

Owner Esteban Castro tells Metro Times the 750-square-foot restaurant will offer a simple menu with the basics like tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and rice bowls, though “the complexities and different flavors will be found in the sauces,” he says.

“It’ll be a fast casual restaurant. I’m going to let Marrow and Craftwork be what they are, and I’ll be what they aren’t,” Castro says.

Over the last seven years, Esto’s Garage made its name on Detroit’s pop up circuit. Castro, who works in the auto industry, purchased a food truck but never got it up and running. He’s planning to sell the truck to fund the new restaurant.

Esto’s Garage could be open at 1811 Parker St.by the end of 2019.
