The University of Michigan won the national college football title for the first time since 1997 and people are ecstatic. Between the Detroit Lions’ come-up and the Michigan Wolverines, it’s a great time to be a Michigan football fan.

After the win on Jan. 8, Governor Gretchen Whitmer even proclaimed Jan. 9, 2024, as “Michigan Wolverine Day.”

Since the victory, fans have been taking to social media to express their feelings about the win, mostly happiness mixed with some shadiness. From the President of the United States to a couple of celebrities and many random fans or haters, here are some of our favorite social media posts following the big Michigan win.
