This year’s Noel Night marks a special milestone.

The annual festival is celebrating 50 years of spreading holiday joy in and around Detroit’s Midtown area.

The family-friendly event, which is free to attend, is set for 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

More than 100 venues — including major cultural institutions, small businesses, churches, and art galleries — are set to participate this year.

That includes music from Detroit DJ Stacy Hotwaxx Hale at the festival’s central hub at Woodward and Warren Avenues, holiday shopping pop-ups, arts and crafts activities, shopping and restaurant discounts, ice sculptures, free hot chocolate, and much more.

“Noel Night has been a cornerstone of our community for half a century, bringing together residents and visitors to celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of Midtown Detroit area,” Maureen Stapleton, interim executive director of Midtown Detroit, Inc. said in a statement. “This year’s milestone event promises to honor our traditions while embracing new experiences that reflect the dynamic spirit of our neighborhood.”

After 8 p.m., all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

A full list of participating locations is available at noelnight.org.
