According to a press release, the city of Southfield will soon have its very own app. The free program will be available for both Apple and Android phones as well as tablets.

City Administrator Fred Zorn says the tool will help people stay connected with the city as well as provide a wealth of information about shopping, dining, and other attractions.

The app, called Spot Southfield, will feature numerous categories including “Eat,” “Play,” “Stay,” “Shop,” “Events,” “Media,” “Find,” and “Services.”

Spot Southfield is now available via the Apple App Store for iPhones and iPads and Google Play for Android devices.
