A bunch of New York artists and designers are making funky Christmas ornaments and decorations for a show and auction that will take place at TriBeCa’s Shinola location. The “re-imagined traditional” baubles will be sold in an auction that ends on Dec. 14.

So what does that have to do with Detroit? Well, other than the fact that dear old Shinola is involved, the auction will benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, better known as the MOCAD.
