The gleaming Comerica Park is looking a lot like one of Detroit's tens of thousands of abandoned properties this morning.
Plywood covers a window and two doors at the baseball stadium's gear shop, after Detroit police say someone shattered them, possibly with a sledgehammer, around 2:30 this morning.
Police say the incident was caught on park surveillance video. The suspect, a male believed to be in his 30s, has not been caught.
The incident comes after someone on the west side randomly bashed the vehicles of two news outlets with a baton last week. News crews from WWJ-AM and WXYZ-TV were in the area covering a hit-and-run.
