The site contains resources on bike pathways, updated info on new and proposed legislation, photo galleries and links to various Michigan biking e-mail lists and discussion groups.
For those who have a fondness for downtown Detroit, head over to criticalmassdetroit.org (not to be confused with criticalmoment.org, a fantastic news e-zine devoted to southeastern Michigan political issues). On the last Friday of every month, Critical Mass Detroit, a group of bicycling advocates, gathers in Grand Circus Park for a ride through the streets of the Motor City.
While the fine folks on the West Coast have year-round sunshine and a climate conducive to year-round cycling, we Midwesterners aren't so fortunate. For those who wonder how anyone could even consider bicycling in the dead of a dreaded Detroit winter, suck it up: Check out some of the badass bicyclists of icebike.com, which includes some astonishing and inspiring photos of hardcore cyclists braving major blizzards on two wheels. There's also bikewinter.org, bearing the slogan, "Winter biking? No sweat!"
