Someone is killing kitties in Hazel Park. According to a story on the Detroit Free Press, five have been found dead in a neighborhood just two blocks north of Detroit and autopsies of these cadaverous cats reveal they were most likely beaten to death.

While it is unclear if these animals were pets or strays, the police are on the look out for the cats' killer. The Ferndale Cat Shelter is also in search of information related to the feline fatalities. They're offering a $1,000 reward for information that could lead to the killer's arrest. The Ferndale Cat Shelter can be reached at 248-733-3554.

The Hazel Park police are also looking for information and asks that anyone with tips call Detective Janeen Gielniak at 248-542-6161 ext. 345.
