According to the Wayne County prosecutor's office, 18-year-old Dionte Travis was found guilty of murder in the killing of French street artist Bilal Berreni in July 2013.

The case was a centerpiece in our story about the Missing Persons Coordination Unit earlier this year.

Travis had already been found guilty of armed robbery and sentenced to 16 to 40 years in prison. On Dec. 17, his murder sentence should significantly extend his eventual sentence.

Of the other three members of the gang that participated in the robbery and killing, two already have been found guilty of second-degree murder. The other was a 13-year-old juvenile at the time.
