Event preview: 'Blue Moon Celebration and Midnight Madness' sale, Street Corner Records, July 31

Both Book Beat and Street Corner Music in Oak Park are having special "blue moon" sales and events today. Book Beat has a typically fun lineup of author events and sales, while over at Street Corner, Outrageous Cherry plays a free show right before a special "midnight madness" sale starts. There are a handful of DJs this evening, as well, and I'm one of them. I was going to do a Limp Bizkit tribute set, but I only have one hour so that's not enough time, as anyone knows, to encapsulate the music of those nu-metal geniuses. So that will have to wait for another time.
Join us and Book Beat this Friday, July 31st for our first Blue Moon Celebration and second Midnight Madness Sale. Street Corner Music will be open until midnight celebrating with DJs, performances by Jimbo Easter and Outrageous Cherry, and sales.

From 8 pm until 10 pm all used CDs and LPs will be 15% off. Starting at 10 pm all new and used CDs and LPs will be 15% off! Holla!

More? Sure. Here's the entertainment schedule:

5 PM Aaron Anderson DJ
6 PM: Jazz band TBA
7 PM: Chris Flanagan DJ
8 PM: Mike McGonigal DJ
9 PM: Glen Morren DJ
10 PM Jimbo Easter performance artist
10:30 Outrageous Cherry

Come on down and get down with Street Corner Music and the Book Beat in New Oak Park.
