Earlier today, Third Man recording artists Wolf Eyes released an unsettling and hilarious new video for their track “T.O.D.D.” The clip was created by the Paris-based artist/filmmaker Will Benedict, working in collaboration with Copenhagen-based artist Steffen Jørgensen. In the video, an alien discusses issues surrounding assimilation in what you might call “an extra global context.”
Obviously this draws parallels to Europe’s current migrant crisis. The alien appears on Charlie Rose’s TV talk show, and I’m not going to say anything else; you can see for yourself. The clip will be included at the 9th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, which continues through the summer (and which this writer attended just last weekend, as this is currently being written while on vacation.)
