WHAT IS THAT THING?: 2015 Michigan record store guide

This was the brainstorm of Windy Weber from Stormy Records in Dearborn, and is a collaborative effort with Ferndale’s Found Sound record store.

The story of the extremely helpful pamphlet is as follows, according to Windy: “I tired for YEARS to make that happen. One shop had said “just have everyone send you a business card, glue em down, and photocopy; that would work.” But then not a soul would send me a business card! So I made a very simple list myself, which I used to print and give away.”

“And then last winter the kids at Found Sound said they really wanted to make us all more of a community, so we partnered. And they did the graphics and we split the print cost and I think they came out really lovely. 50 record stores in Michigan! We are spoiled and we don’t even know it (as a state).”

Pick up the free pamphlet at the counters of Found Sound and Stormy — and don’t forget to pick something else up while you’re at it!
