The Stooges’ second LP Fun House is arguably the greatest rock and roll record ever made. Yesterday we learned that Steve Mackay, the monster of a sax player on the thing, passed away in Daly City, Calif. from sepsis at the age of 66. If you need us, we’ll be blasting “L.A. Blues” — and no, we’re not crying. That’s Fall allergies.
