On Sunday, Aug. 3, Payroll Giovanni (of hip-hop group Doughboyz Cashout) wed Kendra Parker in a lavish wedding held at the Godfrey Hotel in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood, with a ceremony on the hotel’s rooftop and the reception inside the grand ballroom. Several notable celebrities in attendance included rapper Kash Doll and her NFL boyfriend Za’Darius Smith, Lil Blade, Calhoun, Jazmin Renae, Grammy-winning singer Monica and her boyfriend Ant (who manages Chris Brown), Detroit City Council candidate Renata Miller, celebrity make-up artist Chaniece Clora, celebrity barber Mark Roberts, actress Sarah Evalt, Glam-Aholic Lifestyle owner Mia Ray, Junae Watt (owner of Gift Me Chocolate), Dr. Patrick Shamoon, the Kallabat family (a prominent family recognized for community and business contributions), and the members of Doughboyz Cashout.
Kash Doll’s children Kashton and Klarity served as ring bearer and flower girl, and a fun moment occurred during the bouquet and garter toss when Kendra handed the bouquet directly to Kash Doll and Za’Darius caught the garter.
The wedding also took place on the birthday of the late Doughboy Roc, a beloved member of Doughboyz Cashout. His memory was honored that evening.
