I currently play guitar for the Paper Sound, the Bruised Reed, and the Tourist. I played in several others in the past. I do the songwriting and play all the instruments on recordings for the latter two projects (with talented friends graciously lending a hand for live dates), and get to concentrate more on production, engineering, and arrangements for the first. Balancing them all usually isn’t too bad, until I over-commit, like in April when the Paper Sound had our CD-release party on top of both the Paper Sound and the Bruised Reed being a part of the MT Blowout and International Pop Overthrow fests, along with other previously committed dates, resulting in seven shows between the bands in two-three weeks’ time. That was stupid for a full-time working stiff and a dad, and made life rough for about a month. And of course, I’d do it like that every month if I could.
