Raise the Bar: Cocktail Corner at Pig & Whiskey

Each year, Metro Times and Woodward Avenue Brewers put on a three-day festival that celebrates our love for all things pork (and generally anything that can be barbecued) and that sweet elixir known as the water of life.

This year at Pig & Whiskey a tradition known as Cocktail Corner will return, bringing with it 16 different drinks from 16 local restaurants. Here's the schedule.

Saturday

2 p.m.: The Pain Killer from Dino's:

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, citrus ginger, dry vermouth, and bitters.

3 p.m.: Watermelon Kool-Aid Kooler from Toast Birmingham: Old Forester, spicy cherry Kool-Aid simple, and grilled watermelon.

4 p.m.: Bachelor's bowl from Punch Bowl Social: Old Forester Bourbon, Pimm's blackberry elderflower liqueur, guava yerbal mate tea, and lemon juice.

5 p.m.: Perfect Manhattan from the Emory: Michigan cherry infused Old Forester Bourbon, Carpano Antica Vermouth, and Noilly Pratt Dry.

6 p.m.: Perry Street Freezepops from Lady of the House: Woodford Reserve Bourbon, spiced maple-apple syrup, and lemon.

7 p.m.: Smoke 'Em if ya got 'em from the Stand: El Jimador Reposado, Montelobes, Ancho Reyes, Aperol, orange juice, simple syrup, and lime.

8 p.m.: The Honey Mash from Zeke's Rock and Roll BBQ: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, fresh lime juice, ginger ale, lemonade, and a splash of sour mix.

9 p.m.: Cornerstone Bacon Julep from Cornerstone Barrel House: Woodford Reserve Bourbon, maple brown sugar, simple syrup, bitters, mint, topped with soda, and candied bacon for garnish.

Sunday

2 p.m.: The Turk from Cork Wine Pub: Southern Comfort 100 proof, coffee, almond milk, and cardamom.

3 p.m.: Mama Tried from Imperial:

Woodford Reserve Bourbon, grapefruit juice, rosemary infused honey, and grapefruit soda.

4 p.m.: Eat a Peach from Public House: Gentlemen Jack, peach iced tea, lemon juice, sugar, and peach bitters.

5 p.m.: Hamlin Margarita from Hamlin Corner: Herradura Reposado Tequila, honey jalapeno infused simple syrup, triple sec, fresh lemon and lime juice, a splash of orange juice, and garnished with a jalapeno.

6 p.m.: Honey Run from Butter Run Saloon: Collingwood Canadian Whisky, muddled lemon with honey and bitters, and garnished with a mint leaf.

7 p.m.: The Spiced Cherry Collins from Firebird Tavern: Woodford Reserve Bourbon, spiced cherry juice syrup, lemon juice, and a splash of soda.

8 p.m.: Detroit Sour from Cabbage Patch Saloon: Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon infusion, house-made sour, egg white, Crème de Mure, garnished with blood orange wheel and a maraschino cherry.

9 p.m.: Fried Elvis from Local Kitchen: Bacon and peanut infused Jack Daniel's, banana syrup, and coffee bitters.
