Previously a machine shop, this downtown eatery serves up excellent and satisfying soul food in a now-exquisite setting. The food is plain, simple and good -- try the meatloaf, short ribs or fried catfish. Side dishes include candied yams, green beans and a real macaroni and cheese -- and everything tastes homemade. The peach cobbler is superb.
