Throughout the pandemic, many of our date nights have involved a great takeout order and a binge-worthy TV show.

While there’s nothing wrong with that, sometimes you just want to get dressed up and go someplace that makes you feel like you’re in a Julia Roberts rom-com.

We asked our friends at Yelp for the most romantic restaurants in the metro Detroit area and they provided us with this list.

According to our friends at Yelp: This is a list of the top romantic restaurants in metro Detroit (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw) according to Yelp. We identified businesses on Yelp with a large concentration of reviews mentioning “romantic,” then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning “romantic.” All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of Jan. 28, 2022. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of Jan. 28, 2022.

20. The Chop House

“This is by far my favorite steakhouse in Michigan. Let's start with the ambiance. They have such beautiful decor, music and lighting. It's both romantic, but also suitable for a hangout with friends. Their service is excellent. I cannot say enough about how incredible they are. The hostess was so welcoming and made chit chat with me while walking to the table and made me feel so at ease. We were just talking about lipstick color, but she made it personable and light hearted. After all, it's all in the details. Our server was also amazing. She was always available and the steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned. This was the best steak I have ever had. The accompaniments were a delicious addition to the entree: get the brussel sprouts and the au gratin potatoes! It's a very generous portion so it would be enough to share. Our evening was perfect!
