Where: Clark Park
What: A march and rally for International Working Women’s Day
Who: Local women
Why: Community members in Detroit will be reclaiming March 8th as “a day to inspire, mobilize, and affirm struggles as working class third world women and gender oppressed peoples.” The event will also demonstrate how the liberation of Palestine is directly connected to movements in Detroit, and to the liberation of all oppressed people across the world.

What: An evening celebrating women-owned businesses
Who: Local Detroit bosses
Why: There will be a wide range of products and services offered by Detroit women entrepreneurs and businesses. Plus, all guests will receive professional headshots and all ticket proceeds will go toward a small business grant for one vendor featured at the shopping experience. Garden Comrades: A Queer Oracle Deck – Launch Party

Why: Celebrate the publishing of a creative project that celebrates queer social infrastructures. The first eight queer BIPOC in attendance will receive free oracle decks. Donation-based oracle readings will be available to community members. The event will also feature a Palestine solidarity art fundraiser and art and writing reflection prompts inspired by Garden Comrades and the process that guided this deck’s creation. 66th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

Who: Local dignitaries, marching bands, and families
Why: A tradition since 1958, the event typically draws between 80,000-100,000 people to celebrate the Irish heritage of Corktown, which was named after Ireland’s County Cork and is Detroit’s oldest neighborhood. It’s one of the biggest Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in the U.S.
