Boll Family YMCA - 1401 Broadway St, Downtown It's hard to miss this facility right in the middle of downtown. South Oakland Family YMCA 11 Mile, Royal Oak - If you've got kiddos, a YMCA is usually your best bet. With on-site childcare at most locations (which include a whole bunch in metro Detroit) and a ton of programs for youth and adults alike, the Y is a great place to get the entire family active. WSU's Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center- 5210 Gullen Mall, MidtownYou don't have to be a WSU student to take advantage of their state-of-the-art, centrally-located facility that even has a 'womens only' area. Anyone in the community can score a membership for $31/month (if you pay for the whole year) or $110 for three months.
