The last time we caught up with Danny Brown, he was gracing the cover of Metro Times and was feeling #blessed.

Since then, Brown announced a new record, underwent a dental makeover, made an appearance in the film White Boy Rick, and released an unofficial mixtape via the gaming service Twitch. Oh, and he finally released the long-awaited, once-shelved performance documentary, Live at the Majestic.

As is the norm for Detroit’s favorite smile, Brown has cleared his holiday schedule to bring it all back home for his annual Bruiser Thanksgiving celebration. For its fifth spin, he’s taking it to a roller rink hidden within the labyrinthian depths that is the Masonic Temple with help from friends Valee, Jpegmafia, Bruiser Brigade, Bearcat, Sam Austins, and others.

Danny Brown's Bruiser Thanksgiving V begins at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Masonic Temple Roller Rink; 500 Temple St., Detroit; 313-832-7100; elclubdetroit.com; Tickets are $30.
