Late last year the doors to all four Pink Pump locations and all three P2 by Pink Pump stores shuttered their doors. The ventures no longer made sense for owner and operator Tawny Thieu-Walker and she decided to focus her time on her Bloomfield Hills salon, Liquid.

But the Pink Pump brand isn't dead. Or, if it did die for a little while, it's been resurrected. Thieu-Walker recently sold the brand to Kelly and Vincent Kirkwood, and the married couple plan to re-open Pink Pump stores in the metro area sometime this fall.

While no concrete location plans have been announced, a press release states that the brand will be re-established in the downtown Birmingham area and that the Kirkwood's are currently scouting a Midtown location. A new website, pinkpump.com, will launch next month.

Thieu-Walker, who opened her first Pink Pump store back in 2006, will stay on as a business consultant for the new Pink Pump stores.
