The city of Detroit wants to look fancy for the upcoming NFL Draft — but is this it?
Earlier this year, officials announced that Detroit would be getting a “Hollywood-style” sign along I-94, and the letters were finally installed yesterday. The installation of the sign sparked a discussion about Detroit’s image, and there are lots of mixed emotions. Many are disappointed in the sign, and some even calling for its removal. Viral Detroit rapper Gmac Cash, of course, has already made a track titled “Detroit Sign.” Others, however, are hopeful that the sign will be a popular photo backdrop for Detroiters and visitors, or at least can improve with time.
