Here’s an update to a previous item I wrote about the Big Mouth Bass an animated, wall-mounted fish that sang "Take Me to the River," simultaneously bewildering and entertaining mall shoppers for months. As if one obnoxious singing fish weren’t enough, Cool Catfish is right on the fins of Big Mouth with more inane sayings and disturbing gyrations, courtesy of Synchromotion technology. Cool Catfish sings George Thorogood’s "Bad to the Bone" and quips 20 different one-liners, including the old Joan Rivers "Can we talk?" as well as "What are you looking at?" "Pork, the other white meat" and "Where's the beef?" So much for originality. The singing fish is 15 inches long and thankfully has an on/off switch for the motion sensor that activates it. It runs on four AA batteries (not included). Plan to shell out about $30 for this item and, perhaps, live to regret it later.
