Juan Atkins will take the decks at Motor City Wine to help raise money in support of his Deep Space Radio brand. Though the online radio station was launched in 2014 by Atkins, the Deep Space concept traces back to 1981 with the release of Atkins' pivotal track "Alleys of Your Mind" on Deep Space Records. Deep Space Radio features regular programming from Detroit techno alumni John Acquaviva, DJ Minx, Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale, and of course, Juan Atkins.
Juan Atkins will share the booth with other prominent Detroit DJs including DJ Minx b2b Tommie Cool, Stacey "Hottwaxx" Hale, Will Web b2b Scott "Go-Go" Gordon, Groovenick, and David A-P b2b Todd Weston. The $10 cover charge will benefit Deep Space Radio and the evening's performances will be broadcasted live at deepspaceradio.com.
