InkAddict to open a retail spot in Ferndale

InkAddict, a local street wear apparel company, plans to open a retail spot in Ferndale this month.

The company's been around for seven years and currently operates out of a 9,000 square foot facility in Royal Oak, employing 20 people.

Nathan Martin says the company's flagship retail location will be a little avant garde, just like the company itself. The space will include an art gallery as well as a tattoo studio that will be reserved for guest tattoo artists. So far Martin plans to have Matt Hockaday and Baltimore-based Perry Chotipradit as the first two guest tattoo artists at the store.

The store's grand opening will take place on April 25 and Martin says there will be a DJ and they'll be giving away free tattoos.

"We're going to be much more than just a regular retail space," he says.

The store will be located at 22007 Woodward Ave Ferndale.
