Flint native Claressa Shields is new to professional boxing, but she’s been in the ring since she first walked into a gym at age 11. She’s a two-time Olympic gold medalist and recently won a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award, and those are only a few of the accolades the young boxer has earned in her career. She’ll go up against Nikki Adler, a more seasoned professional boxer, during this Showtime event, which will include undercard fights as well.

Doors open at 7 p.m., undercard fights begin at 8 p.m.; main event starts at 10 p.m.; 1777 Third St., Detroit; mgmgranddetroit.com; Tickets start at $125.
