Every spring, Detroiters take to the streets to chase away a little red dwarf who is said to have cursed the city. Of course, the dwarf has transformed into a man-sized crimson devil who gives a speech on the steps of the Detroit Masonic Temple. but perhaps that is neither here nor there. The 2018 iteration took place on Sunday, March 25 when, despite chilly weather, a huge flock of locals dressed in costumes and traipsed through the streets in what appears to be a Mardi Gras celebration gone goth.
