Nothing makes the holiday season feel brighter than seeing the night sky lit up with festive lights. We’ve picked a few of our favorite metro Detroit destinations that offer some of the best Christmas light displays that Michigan has to offer.

Nite Lites 12626 US-12, Brooklyn Millions of lights flicker from Michigans International Speedway during the holiday season. Traditionally, this event was a drive-through light show, but who needs a car? Nite Lites now offers a 5k run/walk through the 3.1 mile trail of lights. Wayne County Lightfest Hines Park / 7651 N. Merriman Rd., Westland Drive through Hines Park this holiday season and see the park transformed into a bright winter wonderland with nearly 50 giant animated holiday displays. Downtown Milford Main Street, Milford The small town of Milford transforms its downtown area into a winter wonderland during the holiday season. Lincoln Park Fantasyland 3240 Ferris Ave., Lincoln Ave, Lincoln Park One of the best and brightest indoor holiday displays in metro Detroit, travel through Santa’s workshop and candy cane lane. Open now until Dec. 24., Wednesday – Friday 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Admission is $1 and photos with Santa range from $3-$5.
