Once again, Metro Times submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Michigan Department of State for all rejected custom license plates in 2023. Since the system can’t sort by date, the state sent us its full list of 543 pages’ worth of banned plates. We picked through it and mocked up the most profane, hilarious, and gross rejected plates.
