On Thursday, March 14, a “We Build the Wall” event was held at Cobo Center in Detroit. The event — which featured right-wing “#MAGA All-Stars” like Steve Bannon, Sheriff David Clarke, and others discussing a crowdfunding initiative to build a wall on the Mexican border —was moved from a church in Warren after organizers said they had to move to accommodate more attendees, citing expected attendance of 1,700. Metro Times‘ back-of-napkin math estimated the crowd was made up of roughly 700 attendees. Here’s everything we saw.
