For last year’s ArtPrize, the Kalamazoo-based Artist SinGh proposed a 30-foot painting to be installed in Grand Rapids’ Sixth Street Bridge Park. He wound up going rogue and created a 3-mile painting instead, a stunt which earned him the the Guinness Book of World Records title of creating the longest painting (11,302 feet 2.11 inches). The stunt also got SinGh banned from the festival for life.

The ban, though, didn’t stop SinGh from participating in an unofficial capacity at this year’s ArtPrize, with the artist drawing on paper stuck to storefront windows in Grand Rapids. He continued his stunt Detroit, Royal Oak, and Ferndale on Wednesday, creating live, outdoor drawings at a number of local businesses. We spotted the artist working at Regeneration near the MT office.
