Get your stretchy pants ready, Fat Tuesday, aka Paczki Day, is coming.

This gluttonous tradition falls on Feb. 21 this year, and though we may have lost the beloved New Martha Washington Bakery, there are still plenty of options for your jelly-filled fix. You know the drill: Hamtramck is ground zero for paczki, so get in line at your favorite Polish bakeries early or place an order in advance before they sell out.

However, you aren’t limited to Hamtramck, as plenty of shops around metro Detroit offer the indulgent treat. Here’s where to find paczki in metro Detroit, from classic flavors to creative fillings, and even some vegan options.
