The wait is over — Bob Seger is bringing it back home two more times.

It was announced Thursday morning that Seger and his longstanding Silver Bullet Band will perform at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Thursday, June 6 and Saturday, June 8 — making it Seger’s 28th and 29th appearance at the venue.

Last year, Seger announced that he was turning the page on five decades of rock ‘n’ roll with his farewell trek, aptly called “The Roll Me Away Tour,” which has already seen 22 sold-out performances.  The tour, which kicked off in November at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, included several makeup dates after the 73-year-old rocker underwent spinal surgery. Until today, Seger had not announced any metro Detroit dates.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased here. Bob Seger fan club members have an opportunity to purchase tickets starting Feb. 19 via his official website.
