It’s a great time to be a Detroit Lions fan.

Our long-suffering team has been on a tear this season, leading a new era for the major sports franchises in the Motor City. This week, it was announced the Lions will host the Washington Commanders in the divisional round of the Super Bowl tournament this Saturday at 8 p.m. at Ford Field.

Ahead of the big game, a local hair salon chain is offering a promotion for fans to show their support for the team and also support a good cause.

Starting Monday, hair color bar Dy’nfly will dye fans’ hair the Lions’ signature Honolulu Blue ahead of Saturday’s game, with a portion of proceeds going to the Detroit Police Athletic League. The nonprofit organization supports year-round programs for Motor City youth.

Pricing ranges from $70 to $100 for adults depending on hair length and $30 for children under 12 or for a blue streak in an adult’s hair.

The chain, which bills itself as a quick hair dye touch-up service for people on the go, first launched the promotion last season.

It has six locations in the Detroit area.
