On Tuesday, former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted on all counts for the death of George Floyd, whose killing last year sparked worldwide protests over race and police brutality. In Detroit, members of the Detroit Will Breathe protest group gathered at Michigan Third Street Park under an unseasonable snowfall to react to the news.
