The latest installment of the Detroit Public Library’s free winter author series welcomes Imbolo Mbue, author of the New York Times bestseller Behold the Dreamers. The novel — which earned the PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction and the Blue Metropolis Words to Change Award, as well as a featured spot on Oprah’s Book Club — explores the American Dream through the story of a Cameroonian couple that relocates to New York during the 2008 recession. Mbue will speak and answer questions about her seminal work.
