Fash Bash 2019 took its “garden party” theme to the next level by (thanks to the weather) hosting the majority of the event outdoors on the Woodward Avenue steps of the DIA this year. The guests looked garden-Gucci, with lots of floral prints, bright colors, fascinators, boater hats, and nature-themed styles. The runway show itself presented looks that started ’90s-meets-fairy-tale and took the viewer to an almost whimsical outdoorsy journey of tweed, camo, animal print, and sequins, which somehow seamlessly transitioned to a heavily Game-of-Thrones-influenced finale — featuring fur both on the models and a live dog walking the runway… reminding us, though itÂ’s still summer, soon it will be fall, just around the corner, winter is coming.
