After a painfully long absence, Detroit rejoiced as we were able to gather at the Historic Senate Theater to celebrate the one true god, Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Uncaged 8: A Ceremonious Gala and Benefit, showcased two of Cage’s films, the comedy/drama Adaptation and the mind-bending Mandy.  Awards for Cage-iest Son of a Bitch and King/Queen of Cage were handed out, poems were read, and a Cage-themed heartwarming cover of Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” were some of the highlights from this year’s event.

Proceeds from the evening benefitted Cinema Detroit and The Senate Theater.
