Tickets for school-age kids to visit and view the Detroit Institute of Arts' new exhibit, Diego River and Frida Kahlo in Detroit are normally $9, but 2,000 Detroit school students will get free entry, thanks to a generous grant from Bank of America. Students at Title 1 schools in Detroit will get free admission.

Two years ago the financial institution awarded the DIA a big sum of cash in order to get Rivera's preliminary sketches for his Detroit Industry murals properly examined, conserved, photographed, and mourned. Those sketches will also be part of the upcoming exhibit.

The exhibit runs from March 15 to July 12. Hit dia.org for more ticket info and check out our March 4 issue for a full article on what to expect from the show.
