New brews and good food, B. Nektar is celebrating their 8th annual Summer Mead Fest. Collaborating with Superstition Meadery, a new brew, American Maniacs, will be ready to taste and hit you in all of the right places. Food trucks like Slow’s to Go, Andiamos, and El Charro will supply good eats, and there will be live music as well. The price is $9 for 6 samples to become a connoisseur of beers, meads, and ciders for one night. 

Saturday, August 6, event runs from 2-8 p.m.; 1151 Jarvis St., Ferndale; bnektar.com; free admission.
