John Mayer is a man of many…talents.
Hailed as a guitar god and a self-proclaimed “recovered ego addict,” the Grammy Award-winning artist is most famous for giving dude-bros anthemic permission to fumble with their dad’s acoustic in an attempt to get laid à la “Your Body is a Wonderland.” Beyond making the cross-over from dreamy popstar to blues shredding guitarist, Mayer is also a bit of a funny guy. Just peep his self-aware green screen antics for “New Light” or that unforgettable time he was on Chapelle Show for proof.
Announced Monday morning, Mayer will embark on a solo world tour which kicks off in Albany, New York just two weeks after he wraps his fourth consecutive run in Dead & Company. The 27-date North American leg will include a stop at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on August 2.
Tickets ($59.50) go on sale Friday, Feb. 1 at noon and can be purchased by visiting 313presents.com.
