Just a heads up, Detroit Unleaded — the award-winning, Michigan-made film written and directed by first-timer Rola Nashef that was released last year — is available to stream for free right now on Hulu

Reviewing the film, our resident critic said it “provides a fresh portrait of second-generation Arab-American culture, capturing the ebb and flow of race relations, economic realities and gender politics with a light comic touch.” The cast includes newcomers E.J. Assi and Nada Shouhayib, along with Mike Batayeh (who you might recognize from Breaking Bad).
